Explaining my absence!

Ok peeps

Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been blogging much recently!

Well there are a number of perfectly good explanations for this.....

1) My grandad bless him has got alzheimers and I have been trying to spend as much time with him as possible before he forgets who I am.

And

2)Me and my fiance are filming for a new TV show for Sky Living!!! Exciting I know even more exciting is that its a wedding show and we are getting married in a months time! Eeeek so obviously planning a wedding in 2 months (I found out last month) is very stressful and taking up ALOT of my time.

I will try to blog when ever I can and once we are husband and wife normal service will resume, but until then please bear with me!

Review: Barry M Nail Polish-Mushroom

So the lovely Melissa at Funky Divva sent me a gorgeous new nail varnish that I have been lusting after to try a few weeks ago and I've finally got round to testing it. Well my life has been a bit hectic recently!

Its from the fabulous Barry M and it's the Mushroom colour. Now I have heard alot of people liken it to Chanels Particuliere. And I have to say it is very close, Particuliere has a bit more of a sheen to it then the Barry M one but it doesnt change the colour at all. Mushroom was a bit darker then I expected but then I did have to do 2 coats so I think with just 1 coat it would have given a better "nude" type colour.

As always with Barry M the brush was great and it applied easily (I was rushing hence the 2 coats). Ive had it on for over a week now and it has only just started to chip off and I think thats a result of all the housework at the moment not inferiour quality nail polish!

Definately worth adding to your polish collection in time for autumn it will look great with all the rusts and creams about at the moment! And at only £2.99 on Funky Divaa you could even buy a couple of colours!

Review: Organic Surge

So awhile ago I was lucky enough to be sent an amazing selection of products from Organic Surge to try out, and as I have finally tried each product I can now do a review.

Organic Surge is a range of hair and beauty products that are made from natural ingredients and are available on the high street at Boots and John Lewis etc. Their prices start at £3.49 and every product you buy contributes to their efforts supporting Africa’s most vulnerable children which as a mum myself I feel is a worthy cause.

The products come in very stylish brightly coloured packaging and I have to say it all looks great on my make-up table.

Heres a picture of what I was sent to try

Now when I first got it all and started opening caps and sniffing the contents (as you do) I was slightly disappointed, I'm one of those girls that normally likes shower gels and creams so heavily perfumed that you can still smell it on your skin hours later. But that being said a few uses of their delicately fragranced Peach Passion shower gel and I was converted! Not only does it leave my skin clean, soft and not dry (like the afore mentioned shower gels) but a little goes a long way and it lathers particularly well.

I also love the "Daily Care Face Wash" which leaves my face feeling super clean and bright and the "Overnight Sensation Night Cream" that moisturises even my dry and flakey t-zone. Even the "Blissful Daily Moisturiser" was put to good use mixing it with my foundation to make a lighter, softer foundation rather then a heavy base.

I dont think there was a product that I didnt like and the clean and fresh feeling that it all leaves is definately a welcome change from the harsh and dry results I normally get from my other lotions and potions, its even gentle enough that I was happy to use it on my 2 year old daughter when she ran out of baby wash.

All in all a big thumbs up from this blogger (and her baby).

Slimavite Diet Weigh In

Its weigh in day again.....Where are the weeks going? lol

Still going and I'm really proud of myself usually by now my will power has gone and I've given up but not this time. The weightloss has slowed right down now and I am finding that I have to do more to shift anything so this week I havent lost any pounds :( but im attributing some of that to Aunt Flo visting this week and the amount of water i apear to be holding onto lol

Still being positive though and I only have just over a stone to shift to get to my target weight now!
